All About Learning Press was created by Marie Rippel out of a desire to help her son who struggled with dyslexia. Her goal was to “take the struggle out of reading and spelling”. Their “comprehensive programs, All About Reading and All About Spelling, are easy to teach and easy to learn.” This is just one reason we love All About Learning Press!
Whether you’re new to homeschooling, have a struggling reader, or just need some extra practice with spelling, you’ve likely looked at quite a few curriculum programs that could meet your needs. But how do you know? How can you be sure the program you choose is the best fit?
Both their reading and spelling programs strive to provide a complete and comprehensive “no gaps” instruction using the Orton-Gillingham approach. These award-winning programs are “easy to learn,” and “easy to teach,” and are backed by lifetime support and a one-year guarantee.

All About Reading
“Based on the latest research, All About Reading consists of a Pre-reading program and four levels of reading instruction. AAR teaches the key components of reading in a fun and engaging way, using a multisensory Orton-Gillingham approach.”
All About Reading consists of several levels to help kids progress at their own pace, while giving you, the parent, an open-and-go curriculum for busy parents who want to teach reading in the most effective way possible.
The levels include Pre-Reading (for preschool and kindergarten) and levels 1-4, plus a Reading Interactive Kit (which is a one-time purchase for the series). If you’re not sure where to start, they offer a free placement test for each level to help!

All About Spelling
Many homeschool spelling programs require parents to be good spellers themselves, but we know that isn’t always the case. All About Spelling is a “scripted, open-and-go program that teaches spelling in the most effective way possible. This award-winning seven-level program provides complete and comprehensive instruction using the Orton-Gillingham approach.”
This highly-rated program is a great fit for all types of learners—including those who struggle with learning differences. Their multi-sensory spelling program is complete and customizable, with lots of built-in reviews, so students of all abilities can move through each skill as quickly or as slowly as they need.
Unlike the reading program, the spelling includes 7 levels plus a Spelling Interactive Kit (which is a one-time purchase for the series). If you’re not sure where to start, they offer a free placement test for each level to help!

Tablet & the Letter Tiles App
Whether you are working to improve spelling or just starting out, your kids will love practicing with the Letter Tiles App.
How to use it: The “Letter Tiles app lets you build words, divide words into syllables, and hear the sounds of the phonograms. Just choose your program from the menu (All About Reading or All About Spelling) and select which lesson number you are currently teaching. The appropriate letter tiles for that lesson will appear, making it easy for you to teach and easy for your students to learn.”
