The Charlotte Mason method is a classical approach to learning with a focus on habits and character. This Charlotte Mason math workbook would make a great complement to your math lessons.
This workbook accompanies a public domain book called “Work and Play with Numbers.” The book was written by George Wentworth and David Eugene Smith and published in 1912.
Created for first-grade math, this study begins by covering basic numbers. Lessons move gradually to addition and subtraction facts and counting to 100.
This workbook is the first of four written to accompany the public domain book. Future workbooks will cover concepts such as fractions and multiplication, useful for grades 2 and 3.
The author uses a font close to the one used in the original book. The book encourages your child to copy the handwriting-styled text as close to the book’s example as possible
Graphics used in this workbook have a soft, vintage look, similar to those used in the learning book. The workbook prints in black and white and your child can color the images in their lessons if they wish.
