It’s December, Christmas is on our minds, and children are excited and probably finding it difficult to concentrate. Keep homeschool filled with exciting learning activities throughout the season with these fun STEM winter challenge cards.
STEM is involved in so many common things we do every day, and we may not even realize it. Swinging, building with blocks, rolling a ball, or riding a bike are things that children do that involve STEM.
Teaching children how and why things work as they do gives them a better understanding of the world around them. Encouraging their interest in STEM through activities fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
This month, spend some time doing STEM activities with these fun winter challenges. Many of the materials you’ll need for these activities can be found around your home.
Your printable cards print in four sheets with eight cards on each page. There is a full page of blank cards if you would like to add your own activities.
Get creative and go outdoors to find some of your materials, or to do your challenges. Maybe you don’t have snow to build with, but you have a sandbox!
