Our kids are so inundated with advertisements and commercials that discontentment seems to be the default state of mind. Get some help from this Raising Grateful Kids Worksheet.

There’s always a new toy that they want, a new game, a more exciting experience.
How do we raise our kids to have grateful and thankful attitudes?
After all, giving our kids speeches about how thankful they should be doesn’t convince them to change their mindset.
My solution to this dilemma is to help my kids focus on simple, everyday pleasures.
Demanding thankfulness from my kids for the food on their plates (“Because there are starving kids somewhere, after all!”) doesn’t evoke a lot of thankfulness (“But we have food every day!”).
They have a hard time connecting with that idea. But they can easily connect with a simple pleasure that is the best part of their day.
Start your kids days by having them write a phrase or sentence about the best part of the previous day.
Anything goes…playing outside, watching a favorite show, meeting up with friends, having ice cream for dessert.
As they start each day remembering a good thing about the previous day, they’ll start to develop excitement for the coming day.
And they’ll recognize that every day, even an ordinary day, has good in it.
