Children are very observant of their surroundings and recognize weather changes. Use this printable weather wheel for kids in your lessons about the weather.
You don’t have to teach even young children how to observe the weather. They learn quickly which days are good for outdoor play, and which are not!
This printable weather wheel is a fun resource for teaching kids to observe the weather. They can gather information and select the weather type from the wheel by themselves.
To use the weather wheel, print out the page onto cardstock and cut the pieces out. Your wheel will last longer if you laminate each of the pieces.
Cut a small hole in the center of your wheel and the small circle on the viewer. Lay the viewer over the wheel and insert a brad to secure the pieces together.
The wheel should turn when you move it, but not spin. Adjust your brad if necessary to loosen or tighten the hold.
Display the weather wheel in a prominent place. This will help your child remember to check the weather and turn the wheel.
