If teaching place value is in your lesson plans, these place value activity pages are a must-have resource.
Learning the concept of place value can be challenging for some students.
Place value is an abstract concept, one that younger children might grasp more easily through sensory learning. Sensory learning includes the use of manipulatives, such as base-ten blocks.
Using these worksheets, your child can practice place value concepts using tens and ones. You will find problems in standard and expanded form.
The theme for this set is bees and flowers, making this a great complement to a bee unit study.
The first few pages will have your child break down numbers into tens and ones. The number is provided, and two spaces are attached to write in the tens and the ones.
The next exercise is similar to the first with only the style changing. The number is given and can be broken down by tens and ones in two columns.
In the third exercise, a multiple of ten is provided. Your child will organize the numbers in the bank according to which ten family it belongs to.
