My son has some trouble with mathematics. He had the most issues with subtraction and multiplication. I thought he knew both of these skills well before I started homeschooling. However, I found that he had a hard time understanding the concepts. He knew what to do, and the processes to follow. However, he really didn’t grasp the “why” so I had to go back to the drawing board for both.
