Many times ending blends are confused with digraphs. A digraph has two letters that are joined together that make “one sound.”
An example of a digraph is the “ck” in sick.
Endling blends are different in that they are defined as two adjoining letters (consonants) but they each make their own sound.
An example of an ending blend is the “nk” in sink.
