October mornings don’t need a cart of seasonal workbooks. Crayons, a glue stick, and a few friendly Halloween worksheets you’ll actually finish before lunch will do. Preschool Play and Learn shares a free 17-page preschool Halloween worksheets pack with line tracing, “which one is different,” cut-and-paste patterns, alphabet and number tracing, shadow matching, mazes, counting, shapes, and find-and-color pages. The pictures are cute rather than scary: owls, bats, black cats, smiling pumpkins, candy corn, and friendly spiders.
(17 pages, about 2.9 MB: one terms page plus 16 activity pages in a mix of color and black and white.)

Scroll to the bottom of that post (under the terms of use) and click the text link that says “Halloween Printables.” The file opens in the Google Drive viewer, and some users may need a Google sign-in to view or download it. Start from the blog post each time in case the Drive share changes.

Print tip: the PDF is set so you can print it but can’t copy text from it. That’s normal for publisher freebies, so just download and print as usual. If the Drive share ever breaks or asks for sign-in, return to the blog post above. If you share, please link the publisher’s post.
What’s included
From Preschool Play and Learn’s Halloween worksheets post and the verified 17-page PDF:
- Trace the lines (prewriting)
- Cross out the one that is different
- Cut and paste to finish the pattern
- Trace the letters of the alphabet
- Trace the numbers from 1 to 30
- Match the picture to its shadow
- Design five different jack-o’-lanterns
- Mazes, including a count-to-20 number maze
- Count and circle the correct answer
- How many bats and owls?
- Finish the picture (bat and spider in a web)
- Find and color the shapes
- Find and count the spiders, plus a find-and-color page
Age band: Preschool. Older toddlers can do the tracing and coloring with help, and kindergartners will enjoy the mazes and number pages.
Who it’s for
This pack is for budget-friendly October table time with a preschooler who wants a “real worksheet” while older siblings do their lessons. You get a little literacy, math, and fine motor practice without buying a holiday unit. It comes from the same publisher behind our FREE Preschool Christmas Worksheets Pack (20 Pages) and FREE Preschool Winter Worksheets Pack (20 Pages), so you can save those for later in the year.
Prefer to keep Halloween gentle? Pair these pages with our FREE Christian Halloween Printables (Scripture coloring pages about shining Christ’s light) or the not-spooky FREE Halloween Cats Mini Books (7 Pages), 1+1+1=1. Want more bats and spiders? See FREE Bat & Spider Printables (Tot–1st), 3 Dinosaurs.
How to use it this October
- One page a day: Print the whole pack and pull one sheet each morning, so it lasts about three weeks of October.
- Warm-up first: Start with line tracing before the letter and number tracing pages.
- Cut-and-paste afternoon: Save the pattern page for when you have glue time.
- Math tray: Group the counting, bats-and-owls, and count-to-20 maze pages for a short math block.
- Creative break: Let your child design five jack-o’-lanterns, then talk about which face is happy, silly, or surprised.
- Print only what you’ll use: Cardstock helps the cut-and-paste page survive little hands.
What you’ll need
- Printer and paper (cardstock helps for cut-and-paste)
- Crayons or markers, a pencil, scissors, and glue
- A browser that can open the publisher post, and be ready for Google Drive (and possibly a Google sign-in)
- No paid Halloween curriculum required
