A Halloween learning week for little ones doesn’t have to cost anything. A printer, a pair of kid scissors, and one bright, cartoon-style pack can fill a few happy mornings. Over the Big Moon shares a free Halloween Pre-K Pack, a 24-page printable for ages 2–5 with prewriting lines, cutting practice, “which one is different,” patterns, size sequencing, puzzles, sorting, counting cards, letter and sound cards, vocabulary cards, and shadow matching.
(The verified PDF is 24 pages. Her post mentions 30 pages, but the current download has 24, so that’s the number we list here.)

Wi‑Fi tip: The PDF is about 7.5 MB, so download it on Wi‑Fi or a desktop rather than over a slow phone connection.
(For personal use in your home or classroom. Please don’t sell the file or host it on another website. If you share, link her post.)
What’s included
From Over the Big Moon’s landing page and the verified 24-page PDF:
- Prewriting practice (3 pages) and cutting practice (1 page)
- Which one is different? (2 pages) and What comes next? pattern page
- Size sequencing with pumpkins
- Halloween strip puzzle (numbers 1–10) and 4-piece puzzles
- Sorting: candy vs. trick-or-treaters
- Counting practice cards (count and clip or circle the number, up to 12)
- Color the pumpkin color-word page
- Letter and sound finding cards
- 3-part vocabulary cards and shadow matching
A note for families: The art is cute and cartoonish, but the pack does use classic costume characters (a witch, vampire, mummy, Frankenstein, and a haunted house) on the vocabulary, puzzle, and counting cards. If your family keeps Halloween low-key, preview the cards first and print only the pumpkin, candy corn, and lollipop pages.
Age band (publisher): Ages 2–5.
Who it’s for
This pack is for families who like Pre-K “tot pack” style learning: short, hands-on cards and sheets you can rotate in a busy bag or file folder. It’s a good fit for a preschooler tagging along during older siblings’ lessons, or for a co-op or Sunday school table the week of a fall festival.
Building a full October basket? Add our FREE Bat & Spider Printables (Tot–1st), 3 Dinosaurs, the FREE Fall I Spy Printables (14 Pages), 1+1+1=1, or the gentle FREE Halloween Cats Mini Books (7 Pages), 1+1+1=1. For a faith-forward Halloween table, see FREE Christian Halloween Printables.
How to use it this Halloween
- Prep once: Print the cards on cardstock, laminate them (or slip them into page protectors), and cut them apart.
- Cookie-sheet puzzles: Put a bit of magnet tape on the back of the puzzle pieces so they stay put on a cookie sheet. The publisher uses this trick too.
- Clip and count: Use clothespins or a dry-erase marker on the counting cards.
- Sort the treats: Cut out the sorting pictures and let your child sort candy from trick-or-treaters.
- Letter hunt: Use the letter and sound cards with a dot marker or a small counter.
- Store for next year: Keep the finished pack in a zipper pouch or file folder for a slow day.
What you’ll need
- Printer and paper, plus cardstock for the cards and puzzles
- Child-safe scissors, glue, crayons, and a pencil
- Optional: a laminator, magnet tape, clothespins, or a dry-erase marker
- Wi‑Fi or a desktop for the 7.5 MB download
- No paid Halloween curriculum required

Ready for more? Halloween Pre-K Pack Expansion
If your little one breezes through the pack above, Over the Big Moon also shares a free Halloween Pre-K Pack Expansion with a step up in challenge. She made it when her own four-year-old outgrew the regular pack. The file is 21 pages (her post says about 20), with:
- A letter maze
- Character word tracing and character letter tracing
- Number tracing 1–10
- Do-a-dot / magnet sheets
It’s designed to match the main pack, so the same costume characters (like Frankenstein) show up on the tracing pages; preview first if your family keeps Halloween low-key. The pages are landscape, and the PDF prints fine; it’s just locked against editing. No email is needed.
