The first Activity is a Gingerbread Fine Motor Activity! 2 Hole Punch Activities are provided.

Why is Hole-Punching Such a great activity? Hole punching works on eye-hand coordination, finger strength, hand strength, bilateral hand skills, and separation of 2 sides of the hands. In other words, this activity can also help with the skills needed for cutting and writing!

This is great activity for your child to warm-up with BEFORE cutting and writing tasks! Mini hole punchers are great for small hands and to enhance a tripod grasp or a lateral pinch!

Next is a Gingerbread Cut and Paste Activity!
3 shapes are provided for your child to cut (circle, square, and triangle). Your child will then visually scan the gingerbread scene to paste the shapes where they go! The activity isn’t over, yet!

There’s a bonus fine motor activity. On the page are 10 circles. Manipulatives or stickers can be placed on these stickers OR your child can use daubers, markers, or crayons to fill them in!

Lastly, is the Gingerbread Writing Activity!

Visual guidance is a simple modification to help children with letter-size and line placement as they work on improving handwriting skills. In this activity, your child is asked to copy a 4-word sentence on adapted paper.

The focus is to keep tall letters tall, short letters short, place letters on the lines, and put spaces between words. Don’t forget to color the gingerbread man! This added coloring task will also work on fine motor coordination and finger movement needed to color in the space.
