What a better month than February to talk all about emotions with your kids? These free emotions printables for February is a great time to explore and talk about feelings with your children.
You don’t think your kids really need to talk about emotions, until their feelings get hurt or someone says something to them that creates a specific emotion in them.
During Valentine’s Day your kids may experience seeing other kids getting Valentine’s cards and they may not. Your children can experience unappreciation after giving someone a Valentine’s Day card that they didn’t appreciate.
Children many times can feel sad or jealous during this time period. They also may feel indifferent, happy or sad and everyone of these feelings is worth discussing with our children.
Even adults have difficulty with dealing with these different emotions btu at a larger scale of course. We would do well in teaching our children different ways to handle stressors and hurts of their little hearts while they are young.
Sadly, there is no getting around it. Our kids will feel all types of emotions but we can be intentional about allowing them to express the emotions in positive ways and to let them know that their emotions are OK to have.
