Puzzles are great activities to challenge a child’s mind and build problem-solving strategies, even at an early age. Share this December cut and paste puzzle with your little one for a fun winter activity.
Early childhood learning is all about developing fundamental skills a child will build on in time.
Children see the fun in using scissors, paste, and paper. Teachers see them developing fine motor skills, problem-solving skills, imagination, persistence, and self-regulation skills.
Puzzles are fun, but they do so much more. Working on puzzles, a child recognizes shapes, sets goals, develops patience, and feels a sense of achievement.
This adorable cut and paste puzzle is a fun way to celebrate the coming season. Your child can cut out the puzzle pieces, paste the pieces on the grid, then write the mystery word.
For more fun, cut the bottom portion of the page and paste it on brightly colored construction paper. Another option is to laminate the puzzle and the pieces to reuse them and use a dry erase marker.
