Early reading skills include mastering letter sounds and blends. This blends and digraphs easy reader will review letter sounds using a transportation theme.
Easy reader books are a fun way to teach reading skills. Using themes kids enjoy engages them and new words help increase their word bank.
Your child can practice digraphs and blends using this fun transportation reader.
There are twelve half-pages in this book. Each page features an object related to transportation.
The digraph or blend is clearly indicated on each page. Each one is dotted so your child can trace the letters.
The pages print in black and white so your child can color and decorate them.
To start this activity, print all of your pages. Cut them in half along the middle line, arrange them, and staple the left side edges.
Invite your child to read the blend or digraph. Use the picture to help them identify the beginning sound.
Have your child underline the blends on the page and then color the picture.
You may want to laminate your pages to make a reusable book.
