God is My Light Activity

Dark and spooky images around us during October can bring uncertainty to sensitive little hearts. Share God’s promise of protection with your little ones using this God is My Light Activity.

We can help our kids overcome fear by sharing wisdom from God’s Word. Psalm 27:1a says, “The Lord is my Light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear?”

This fun craft features an owl, representing wisdom, which comes from God’s Word. The light inside the lamp comes from a flameless votive, easy for your child to turn on and off.

Adult preparation is needed for this craft, so you’ll want to plan ahead. Assembly is quick and easy once the owl image is cut out of the cardstock.

Whenever the lamp is on, remind your little one the Lord is their Light and they need not fear.
