The Corps of Discovery was a 7000K mile journey (Voyage of Discovery) to explore the west of the Mississippi.
Captain Lewis, along with Captain Clark, enlisted Sacagawea to help them interpret and translate for them during the journey.
This Voyage of Discovery was essential in expanding the United States territories following the Louisiana Purchase. And in this journey led by Lewis and Clark, they discovered uncharted lands, rivers, and mountains.
They even discovered new animals like prairie dogs and Grizzly bears.
