Do you think celebrating gratitude is only for Thanksgiving? No way! The holidays, as a whole, are perfect for teaching children to appreciate the world and life they live in. No matter where they are in life, there is always something to be grateful for. Helping kids to understand and practice gratitude is priceless. This FREE Christmas gratitude printable will help you do just that.
Ever met kids who demand things? Who don’t say “thank you?” Who throws tantrums for no good reason? Whether you have experienced this, or even if you are the parents of a child like this… it is never too late to teach your kids how to be grateful.
When my kids were little, I didn’t have much money at all. I would tell my little ones before we went anywhere to not ask for anything. I told them that mommy would not get them anything, as we weren’t going to the store for presents. Eventually, my kids understood. Sometimes I would get them a small gift and they were so super excited.
Patience and obedience led my kids to be grateful for the things they have today. Now that we live on a small island with very limited access to purchase things anyway, my kids don’t seem to be without at all. My kids can play outside and use their imaginations. They can receive a present from someone and be so grateful that they don’t have words. My children know what it is to give and get that giving can be as good, and even better than receiving.
I remind my kids that life truly is a gift from the Lord and we could cherish life as if it could be taken away tomorrow. Practice thankfulness and doing good deeds with this free printable during the holiday season. It will help kids remember to take a moment and appreciate all that the Lord has done.
