Christmas is coming and children everywhere are looking forward to it. With this Christmas ornament counting game, you and your children can get into the spirit while they practice counting.
This is the month to saturate our children’s lessons and practice time with Christmas-themed worksheets and games. Seeing the nativity figures, reindeer, ornaments and other Christmas details decorating their pages reminds them that Christmas is near.
These fun printable mats are quite versatile and you’ll want to save extras for other activities.
To use these pages for the counting game, print your pages in color and laminate them if desired. This game is for two players so you may want to invite a sibling to play or be a player yourself.
Have your child roll a single die and identify the number rolled. If the number is between 1-3 add a colored pom-pom to the tree, but if it’s between 4-6, remove one.
The first person to get to 10 is the winner!
You can easily adapt this game to counting to 20 by adding a second die and more pom-poms. Adjust your rules accordingly.
