If your child is working with early addition facts, this freebie is for you. Use this adding to ten math game to practice with fact families that equal ten.
Early math skills like simple addition are building blocks for learning more complex concepts later. Math skills build upon one another and increase complexity.
Mastering these skills is important for developing advanced skills and complex thinking.
Games and activities that reinforce math concepts are great for practice time.
These fun doggy mats will help your child learn the fact families that equal ten.
To get started, print your choice of mats on cardstock or laminate them. You can choose colored mats or black ink only.
Cut out all of your doggy bones and place them in front of your child.
Lay the two mats from your printed set side by side. One mat holds facts that equal ten, the other does not equal ten.
Your child will choose a bone and add the two numbers together.
Next, they will determine if the answer does or does not equal ten. Invite your child to place the bone on the correct mat.
