8 Time Saving Recipes that Use Ground Beef – 15 Minutes or Less!
Last month I shared 15 easy meals that you can make in 15 minutes or less, which got me thinking about busyness.
Obviously, being able to whip together a yummy meal when you’re busy is incredibly helpful. But what if your not busy?
The 15 minute meal can free up extra time for doing what you want. So while you might not always be in a rush to get dinner on the table quickly, who wouldn’t want a little extra time ever day?
The following recipes all use ground meat. You can use ground beef, ground turkey, ground chicken, or even ground pork. Obviously the flavor of your meals will change with the meat you choose to use.
Ground Beef Recipes
Taco Salad
Combine cooled ground beef (or other ground meat), drained chili beans, lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and lettuce. Top with green goddess dressing, ranch, or your favorite southwest dressing.
Philly Cheese Ground Beef Sandwich
Serve loose ground beef in a hoagie and top with white cheese, sauteed green peppers, sauteed onions, and sauteed mushrooms.
Burritos
Brown ground beef with Mexican seasoning, serve in tortillas. Wrap flour or corn tortillas in a damp paper towel and warm for 30 to 60 seconds in a microwave. I also will sometimes grill my tortillas on my gas burner at medium heat.
White Trash Sliders
This is NOT a recipe I’d recommend if you’re on any type of diet. Brown your ground beef and then combine with Velveeta or nacho cheese sauce until covered. A little goes a long way. Serve over bread of your choice. (Like I said not healthy)
Italian Sliders
Combine browned ground beef with a drained can of tomatoes and spaghetti sauce. Serve over bread and top with mozzarella. It’s like a loose meatball sub.
Lazy Man’s Goulash
After browning ground beef in a pan with a chopped onion, combine with drained canned tomatoes, and a small can of tomato sauce. Allow mixture to simmer for a few minutes. Combine with cooked and drained pasta (elbow noodles or similar), heat until warm. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
Cheeseburger Man N’ Cheese
Fix your favorite macaroni and cheese recipe, or use the boxed kind, and combine with browned ground meat.
Walking Tacos
Prepare your ground beef with Mexican seasoning and combine with drained chili beans. Serve over Fritos or similar cornchips. For a true “walking” taco, serve it over the fritos in a snack size bag.
