Today we hear from Stacie at Motherhood on a Dime. Stacie shares the 5 reasons why her family homeschools. I like her reasons and I think you’ll be encouraged by them too.
Here is one of her reasons: “Homeschooling *forces* me invites me into relationship with my children.” She goes on to say, “I’m thankful that homeschooling invites us to a deeper relationship with each other — and I’m grateful for the time we have to work on it!“
That’s the truth. I believe that through this gift of homeschooling I’m able to pour deep relationship time into my children and their hearts. Even if I’m cultivating these relationships over oatmeal and laundry piles, we’re together and we’re growing. When I completely mess up and see negative attitudes in my children (because we’re human and weeds happen), through this gift of being home together we can dig up the negative and attempt to grow beauty.
Then we can do it all again tomorrow. 🙂
