Last weekend while my kiddies were living up life at Grandmother’s farm I had a weekend at the Titus 2:1 Conference.
The 2:1 Conference is an event for Christian homeschool bloggers to connect and encourage one another. A Journey Through Learning Lapbooks was my sponsor for this weekend of refreshment.
My reoccurring theme for the conference: Jesus, Homeschool & Blogging.
I was able to meet several bloggers who I’ve admired for some time. This little lady in the picture above is Toni Anderson from The Happy Housewife. She has 7-kids, blogs, homeschools and is married to the military. My kind of lady.
This is Tabitha from MeetPenny.com I know, her name is not Penny…it’s a long story that you can read about here. 😉 She was my wonderful room-mate. It was fun to stay up late and talk about–wait for it–Jesus, homeschool and blogging.
It seems every time I go to a conference I have to do something for attention, like the time my baby and I were trapped in an elevator (<—yes, there’s a video of it) during the Relevant Conference. For this trip I just knew that I had it all together. The kids were at my moms for a few days. I had plenty of time to pack. So using my great wisdom I waited until the morning that I was supposed to leave to pack (because again, minus 5-kiddies, I had time). Ha, ha, ha on myself I didn’t hear my alarm, woke up an hour before I was supposed to meet Jolanthe, and ran around like a mad woman. For added fun I couldn’t find my bank card. So I knew, yes I knew, that God wanted me at the 2:1 Conference.
…and now I show you a fruit platter; the food was amazing!

Another wonderful thing that happened at the conference was I did a phone interview for the Homeschool How-To Conference. Now this is where I conference hop and talk about my new site for a minute. Part of my life as a homeschool blogger mom is now running a 2nd site, because God likes to keep me completely dependent on Him, FreeHomeschoolDeals.com. My new site is now a month old (I told my hubby it’s our 6th baby) and was a sponsor of the Homeschool How-To Conference (are you keeping your conferences straight in this post?) If you’d like to hear how Holy Spirit-led Homeschooling come to be, how the Lord put FreeHomeschoolDeals.com on my heart, or just how in the world I blog with five sweet kiddies, then I have a treat for you.

Hi! Love reading all your post and tweets! Our family goes up and down in how big we are! Right now we are four kids. Many say we are big, we think this is easy! In a moment we can go from 4 to 6 or even up to 8! The joys of foster care!
I love reading everyones experiences at 2:1 Conf. Looks like everyone had a great time!
