Get to Know Your Wild Neighbors!
The Get to Know Contest is now open nationally across the United States, in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, National Wildlife Federation, Association of Zoos and Aquariums, Wildlife Habitat Council, National Recreation and Park Association, Wildlife Forever, Outdoor Afro, and over fifty other partners from coast-to-coast. Get to Know invites all American youth (19 and younger) to get outdoors and “get to know” their wild neighbors. The Contest, now in its 13th year in Canada, encourages young people to develop a deeper appreciation for their neighbours of other species by getting outdoors and creating art, writing, digital photography, videos and music. The goal of the contest is to engage the power of art to help youth feel more connected with nature.
