You may remember Book Adventure being mentioned in the free 2013 summer reading programs list, but this free online reading program for children in grades K-8 is available year round. Book Adventure is a free reading program sponsored by Sylvan Learning that uses a point system to motivate children to read. The points can then be redeemed for prizes.
Children pick a book off the Book Adventure site, read the book, and then take a quiz on the site to test their comprehension. A child must score a 90% or higher to earn points. A quiz can be taken multiple times. The quizzes for grades K-2 consist of 5 questions and quizzes for grades 3-8 consist of 10 questions.
