Need a quick math reference your kids can keep in their binder? This free printable math cheat sheet from Le Chaim on the Right (now Learnincolor) packs essential math facts for grades 4–8 onto a handy reference page.
What’s on the Cheat Sheet
This printable covers the math fundamentals that upper elementary and middle school students need to reference regularly:
- Measurement conversions — cups to pints, feet to miles, ounces to pounds, and more
- Common abbreviations — the standard abbreviations for measurement units kids encounter in word problems
- Basic formulas — area, perimeter, and volume formulas they’ll use again and again
- Roman numerals — a quick reference chart for converting between Roman and Arabic numerals
- Additional math facts — other commonly needed reference information for this age range
Two color sets are available so you can choose the version that works best for your printer and your child’s preference.
How to Use It
Print and laminate. Slip it into a binder sleeve or laminate it so your student can reference it during math lessons without it getting worn out.
Post it on the wall. Hang it near your homeschool workspace as a quick-glance reference. Sometimes just seeing the information regularly helps with memorization.
Use during tests (or not). Some families allow the cheat sheet during practice work but not during tests, using it as a bridge while kids memorize the facts. Others keep it available all the time — it’s your homeschool, your rules.
Give one to each student. If you have multiple kids in this age range, print a copy for each so there’s no fighting over the reference sheet during math time.
