Who it’s for
The sampler is made for kids ages 6–9. No computer, app or coding experience is needed, so it’s a gentle first step into coding for a child who loves puzzles. It also works well for a parent who’s never coded either.
How to use
- Kids start at S and plan a route to G without stepping into a blocked square.
- They write one command for each step: U (up), D (down), L (left) or R (right).
- Then they trace the commands in order. If a command runs into a block, it’s time to “debug” and try again.
- For an extra challenge, kids can look for a shorter route.
- Print at 100% or Actual Size for best results.
