I posted a question a couple months ago on Facebook asking homeschool parents what subject was their least favorite. This probably won’t come as a shocker, but the majority of people chose math. I get it, I really do. Especially as my older children hit upper level math courses! It’s enough to make my eyeballs cross sometimes.
But while you might view math as a necessary evil, you can still help your children learn like and even (gasp!) enjoy math. One of the simplest ways to do this is through great books. Now, I’m not talking about textbooks. Please, leave the math curriculum on the table and try adding some of these titles to your reading time together.
