I really would like to get one for my mother. She has arthritis really bad in her hands and they are deteriorating at a fast rate. She already can’t sew and is about to lose the ability to paint. The only love she has left is reading, but with her poor eyesight she has to read hardcover books cause of the bigger print. Getting a Kindle would allow her to read to her hearts content and not feel so depressed.

We would read books of course!! Plus there are some great apps that promote learning while playing games. I have a NOOK and an iPod right now. We use the NOOK, for reading and a few games. But the math program we use right now is on Kindle, so I have to use my tiny iPod to see the lesson. I’d love to have a bigger screen to do math everyday.

We have just begun to homeschool. We would use the kindle to read our kindle books instead of reading them from our desktop. We would also bring it outside to look up facts about nature and use it when we are out and about to answer all the questions our son asks.
